A Long Overdue Blog Post

I should be kicked out of the blog-osphere.
It's shameful that it's taken me this long to update our blog.

But, really, I feel like I have a pretty good excuse.

We're moving our family overseas. Remember?
Oh maybe you forgot, since it's been awhile since you've heard from us!

The countdown to April 14th is on.
A countdown that includes lots of boxes going into storage.
Lots of tears. Yes, I am becoming that emotional mess I spoke about.
And pulling out the big suitcases to see which ones make the cut for a 30 hour trip.

Meanwhile in the past few un-blogged weeks:
I've turned 28.
We celebrated our 6th Anniversary.
I surpassed the halfway mark of this pregnancy.
A garage sale.
Caleb's first movements are being felt finally!
Eden and Salem have parted ways with some treasured toys, which they handled surprisingly well!

Looking forward to some special time with family before the departure day.
Looking forward to meeting new friends in our new city.
Looking forward to finding a new apartment that we'll hopefully be able to call home for the next several years!
It's a season of our lives that has lots of excitement and lots of tears. Many mixed emotions are floating around this household!

There are probably a lot of people who are NOT looking forward to April 14 (ie-your parents/grandparents/etc). But I happily represent the group of people who ARE looking forward to April 16.

I have mixed emotions about this April 14th biz. I realized we only have one Thursday night party left. But, Jesus is more important than that :)

Oh my... That really snuck up didn't it? (probably not on you, but somehow on me). I somehow hoped we could meet up while on the same continent! :( Maybe some day.

I'll be lifting you up as these big big changes occur.

Thank you for the update but I will still fuss (and not feel guilty) about the lack of a belly picture on here so far. You're half-way done baking Caleb and none of us way out here have even seen the dent (or bump I guess) he's making in the world already. But I'm done fussing now.

Onto the YAY! It's getting close! And I'm so glad you are near your family for all the good-bye's you'll be making. If you still lived in NC it'd be harder. Tears are good and it means you're normal, even the part about being excited to go too. You can just chalk-up the pregnancy hormones to providing you with an even more enhanced version of feeling everything as you go...the sad moments and the happy ones!

So proud of you friends and can't wait til we're in the same timezone again!

28. 6. 14th. That's a lot of numbers to process. I can't believe you guys have been married for 6 years. Crazytown. Do you remember that picture of us in front of the Christmas tree with crazy hair and all those goofy icicle ornaments on our ears while wearing our pajamas and no make-up. Yep... that's what I think of whenever you add another candle to your cake. ;)
